11th ICCBP International Conference on Concrete Block Pavement
Venue: International Congress Centre, Dresden, Germany
Mr Michael Lazar have submitted and presented a paper titled "New Versatile Paver Used for Aircraft, Port and Pavements".
The conference is the continuation of a series of successful events in San Francisco, Buenos Aires and Shanghai. The event, which was previously known internationally under the name 'PAVE', took place in Germany for the first time ever in 2015. Since Germany belongs to those countries with the largest portion of concrete block paved areas worldwide, the German machine and plant manufacturers are also among the market leaders in this industry in many regions worldwide. The international conference was organised to discuss and promote technical and scientific progress of recent development/issues in the design and construction of block pavements worldwide.

Mr Michael Lazar and Mr John Emery have submitted a joint paper and presented papers, titled "Permanent Reflective Markings For Pavement Surface" and "Construction and Rehabilitation of Aircraft Pavements Using Concrete Blocks Having Mechanical Interlock". ​
The Argentina Concrete Block Paving Association and The Argentina Portland Cement Institute initiated organising the conference. The offers the building community the latest developments on this unique paving system that involves engineers, architects and pavement specialists.

The focus of ICPT is on the fast developing East Asian regions, with special emphasis on encouraging interaction of pavement professionals and researchers among Asian countries, and exchanging of experience and technology with other parts of the world.

​School of the Built Environment at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in association with Tarmac Ltd is hosting the 7th Annual International Conference addressing research and practical applications using sustainable construction materials and techniques in pavement engineering.
​The conference is a continuation of the successful annual events hosted by LJMU since 2002 that have attracted large numbers of authors, delegates and exhibitors from the UK, Europe, South America, Middle East and the Far East.

The conference theme 'Sustainable Paving for the Future' speaks to the ability of segmental concrete pavements to address total envrionment design---ecological, energy, safety, and visual design needs for the 21st century. The conference will emphasize stormwater management with permeable interlocking pavements, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and design for the disabled.

This conference is for designers and specifiers of interlocking concrete pavements, permeable interlocking concrete pavements, grid pavements, and concrete paving slabs for residential, commercial, municipal, industrial, port and airport applications. Mr Michael Lazar and Mr John Emery was invited to submit and present a joint paper titled "New Technology Improves Pavement Performance and Safety" in ICCX Berlin 2006 (International Concrete Conference & Exhibition) Germany. Mr Michael Lazar and Mr John Emery presented the paper in Berlin. There were 17 speakers representing 17 countries of the world, covering interesting topics for the concrete and precast industry.
At ICCX Berlin 2006 the International Concrete and Precast Concrete Industry met together on the 25th and 26th of January 2006 in the bcc (Berlin Congress Center). While experts from 18 different countries in the world are imparting a comprehensive overview of the current developments in the concrete and precast elements industry, more than 100 internationally-active companies will be presenting their products and services for this industry in the specialist exhibition area of the event. Over 1,000 visitors from all over the world, particularly those from concrete and precast concrete factories attended this event, which in 2006 takes place for the first time in Berlin. The event is being organized by CPI worldwide, the specialist magazine of the concrete and precast concrete industry, which will appear in a total of nine languages from 2006. In their lectures the experts will be speaking about concrete technology, concrete paving stones and slabs, concrete pipes and manholes, precast concrete elements, ready-mixed concrete, marketing themes and market overviews.

Mr Michael Lazar was invited by The Institute of Landscape Architects of South Africa (ILASA) to present in 2 seminars. The Seminars entitled "Breaking the mould / exposing the future". The Seminars held both in Cape Town and Gauteng (Johannesburg) are focused on sustainability as an achievable goal through the practical application of principles - utilising innovative systems, techniques, materials and products in the implementation of development projects. (The events was sponsored primarily by The Concrete Manufacturers Association (CMA), False Bay Bricks and CONCOR Technicrete).
The Seminar agenda specifically targets the interest and core business of Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Environmental Planners and Practitioners i.e. the representatives of all Built Environment Professions. In addition, Council Officials, Local, Provincial and National Authorities, as well as Property Developers, will find the seminars particularly relevant

Mr Michael Lazar and Mr John Emery have submitted a joint paper titled "New Technology Improves Pavement Performance and Safety" in BIBM, 2005, Amsterdam. Mr Michael Lazar presented the BIBM, 2005, Amsterdam, RAI, 18th International Congress and Exhibition, "Meet the Future of the Precast Concrete Industry".
The congress addresses all relevant aspects of prefabricated concrete, ranging from marketing issues to innovative technological developments and from standard concrete
products to tailor-made products based on specific structural or architectural demands. This is a very wide scope and, of course, it is impossible to deal with every topic in detail. Nevertheless, the Scientific Committee has worked toward a well-balanced programme with high-quality presentations. More than 140 abstracts were received, while 98 oral presentations has been be given.

The Tri-Services (Army, Air Force, and Navy) goal was to gather together engineers, contractors, designers, evaluators, inspectors, etc. to share innovative technologies in the design, evaluation, maintenance, and construction of airfields, roads, and railroads in support of DOD operations worldwide.

Motivated by the success and interest shown in the first seminar on Concrete Block Paving in 1998, Acme Paving Consultants Pte Ltd once again held the second seminar. The seminar attracted more than 200 delegates from Australia, Brunei, England, East Malaysia, Germany, India, Italy, Singapore, Thailand, West Malaysia and Vietnam.
